The beginning

My mother, Angela Sheehan, met my father, Malachy McCourt, at a Thanksgiving party. They married and I was born. A year later, my brother, Malachy was born. My father doesn't have a job and he drinks a lot. After this, my mom have two kids, Oliver and Eugene. During this, my father keep looking for a jog, but when he comes home, we know that he drunks whisky. And then my little sister was born, her name is Margaret. She´s gone. Mrs Liebowitz and my mom's cousins wrote a letter to my Grandma Sheehan in Limerick. She sent money to the tickets, and we went to Limerick.

Limerick

When we arrived in Limerick my Grandma Sheehan met us on the station platform. We went to gradma's house. Me and my brothers sit on the stairs because don´t have chairs for everybody.
My mom and her mom found a room for my family; my Grandma gave money to my mom just for two weeks.
My dad is from North of Ireland so he can´t get a job. Because of this, my mom takes me and Malachy to the St Vincent de Paul Society. The man who listen us give to my mom ticket for tea, sugar, milk and butter. This is how we live.
